National Geographic launches Six Degrees: book and film 02 February 08
National Geographic has made a superb film adaptation of my book Six Degrees, which is premiering on NG Channel in the US on February 10 at 8pm ET/9pm PT, and around the world on later dates. Check out the special website, which allows you to explore the warming world interactively, and also to watch video trailers for the world at each degree.
The film is called ‘Six Degrees Could Change the World’ and voiced with superb authority by Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin. High profile interviewees include NASA’s Jim Hansen and IPCC Chair Rajendra Pachauri. In parallel National Geographic is also launching an updated US edition of Six Degrees the book.

Hi Mark,
The clips look fantastic. Do you know when we’ll be able to get hold of DVDs to show, if at all? I don’t have access to the National Geographic channel unfortunately. This will be a powerful film and the sooner we can get it out to the maximum number of people the better.
Cheers,
Andy

Yes a DVD will be being produced and distributed pretty quickly I think – should be quite a useful resource I hope.

Hi Mark, has Six Degrees been sold to an Australian broadcaster? Do you know who holds the rights for this territory?
I would like to see this film get out to a wide audience and have networks that may be able to assist.
You can email me directly if you would like to discuss this.
Kind regards CC

your “Six Degrees” is really something revolutional! But you know, after watching it I lost my dreams… really it is so frightenning to some extend, sometimes I feel I didn’t need to watch it! But still well done!
