BBC takes cue from High Tide 04 August 04
Last week the BBC devoted three days to climate change, leading with a series of correspondent reports from around the world highlighting places suffering the first and most dramatic effects of global warming. Sound familiar? I have it from a reliable source the High Tide was a major inspiration for the features. This might explain why Shishmaref, Alaska and the expanding deserts of northern China – both High Tide locations – were chosen for the reports. You can still watch video of all the reports on the BBC’s Global Warning pages. My own contributions – interview slots on BBC World and News 24 – unfortunately didn’t make it onto the web!

Way to go, Mark! It’s always a good feeling when one works toward a worthy goal, and people who need to notice (and act!) on that actually do so!! Hope this is just the first of many “ripples in the pond” you and your book stir up around the world!
