It’s difficult keeping your sanity when you start to get involved in the “individualistic” & “Christian” elements of American politics.

A few years ago I was involved in an initiative to promote the United Nations and came across the Heritage Foundation as our prime opponent. They were very keen to get the US out of the UN.

Clearly your discussion partners had axes to grind, which seemed to inhibit sensible discussion ..

Hmmm, maybe I have misjudged the chap. It looks like he is doing some good stuff – such as the Debt Relief for Developing Nations in return for protecting rainforests.
