Apocalypse soon 26 April 04

Thanks to former UK environment minister Michael Meacher for his positive review in the weekend’s Guardian. Meacher writes: “If you are among those who think climate change is an uncertain, remote issue… this book may be for you.” He goes on to note that global warming could have truly apocalyptic consequences unless urgent action is taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. “So is apocalypse inevitable?” he asks. “It isn’t, but this is certainly the greatest threat mankind has ever faced, and the signs that we are facing up to it are not good.” Link to whole review in the Guardian.
