High Tide reviewed in the Independent 15 April 04

I’ve known of the Independent’s Mike McCarthy for several years now, and have long been a fan of his environmental journalism. So I was delighted to see his review of High Tide in Tuesday’s paper – especially as he understands straight away what makes my book different. “Here’s a threepenny prophecy,” he begins. “There will be many more books like High Tide, but this will be remembered as the first. It may not be the best written, or the biggest seller, or the book with the most impact, but it’ll be the one with the original vision.” Amen to that. Read the whole review here.
