Bush accelerates mountaintop strip-mining 10 March 04

The Bush administration is continuing its war on the environment (on behalf of the fossil fuel dinosaurs who paid for the president’s ‘election’) by accelerating mountaintop strip-mining in Appalachia, West Virginia. This appallingly destructive practice involves blasting away entire peaks into the neighbouring valleys in order to get at the coal underneath. No matter that an ancient landscape is destroyed and global warming worsened in the process. People, we’ve got to get this guy out of the White House. Read all about it on ENN.
