Climate change nothing to worry about 01 December 04

It’s always a good idea to keep tabs on what the sceptics are saying. Some of the most vociferous climate change-deniers come from the International Policy Network – a rag-tag bunch of far-right corporate front groups co-ordinated from London. The IPN has just released a new report which suggests that climate change has been hugely exaggerated, that the seas aren’t rising particularly fast, and that warming temperatures may even be beneficial to health and fisheries. It’s a strange concoction, with no convincing evidence to support the conclusions, but worth reading nonetheless – this desperate rearguard action shows that the global warming deniers are now in full retreat.
