Commuting by plane from Spain 09 November 03
Just when I thought the message was beginning to get through about the high climate cost of air travel, a story appeared in the Guardian focusing on the increasing numbers of people who actually commute between Spain and London. Thanks to the absurd subsidies which prop up budget airlines, estate agent David Copestake “can be in the office in about three hours, with the pilot doing the driving from Malaga to Luton airport”. Read it and weep. Oh, and does the story mention climate change? Of course not.
